Master Defense – Elling Johannessen
On January 21, at 12pm, ARCTOS master student John Elling Johannessen will defend his master thesis entitled: ‘Within-Season Trends in Abundance and Distribution of Humpback Whales (Megaptera novaeangliae) in the Antarctic Peninsula Region’.
His supervisors are Ulf Lindstrøm (IMR, Tromsø, Norway), Martin Biuw (IMR, Tromsø, Norway) and Andrew Lowther (NPI, Tromsø, Norway). The internal censor of the master defense is professor Torstein Pedersen at UiT and the external censor is senior researcher Nils Øien at IMR.
