Master project title:

Photophysiological responses of marine microalgae to changes in salinity.

Master project description:

I am going to work on the photophysiological responses of sea ice algae when exposed to conditions typical of sample melt. To complete this study, I will use ¹⁴C to carry out measurements of primary production, photophysiology, in addition to estimates of abundance and stress. This will be focused on culture-based experiments at UiT, but will also include assessment of mixed algal communities from field sampling.
