Over the past 20+ years, Frank worked on sea-ice amphipod ecology, the hard-bottom photographic time-series initiated by Bj\u00f8rn Gulliksen, interpretation of hyperspectral imaging of the sea floor, sensitivity of coastal habitats on Svalbard, and lately on plastic pollution on Arctic coasts using satellite and drone technology.
