Several ARCTOS members and associated researchers presented talks such as J\u00f8rgen Berge (UiT, Norway), Maria Fossheim (IMR, Norway), Mar Fernandez Mendes (NPI, Norway), Martin Fortier (ArcticNet, Canada) and Carin Ashjian (Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, USA). All talks were directed to the dynamics of the seasonal sea ice zone of the Arctic Ocean and underlined the necessity of a closer cooperation and coordination of international research in the Arctic Ocean.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"sp-additional-info cvg-clearfix\">The purpose of the Transatlantic Science Week is to promote enhanced cooperation between Canadian, American and Norwegian stakeholders in research, innovation, and higher education.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This year&#8217;s conference took place in Boston, Massachusetts, USA and the theme was &#8216;Blue Futures&#8217;, relating to the enormous changes our globe and our oceans are undergoing as well as the biological resources connected to them.
