We will hear from PhD candidate Adele Westgård on her PhD thesis:
“Constraining the environmental and biological controls on the geochemical composition of Neogloboquadrina pachyderma: Towards developing robust proxies for reconstructing polar surface ocean hydrography”
The seminar will take place in the Lille Auditorium (E-102) at the Norges Fiskerihøgskole building at UiT, Tromsø and through Teams.
Biography:
Adele is finalising her PhD at the Department of Geosciences (UiT) with project ARCLIM: the Arctic Ocean under warm climates. In her PhD, she has developed geochemical methods of studying past climate and ocean variability in the polar regions through laboratory-experiments on the polar planktic foraminifera N. pachyderma in a range of environmental conditions.
